The way the writing pulls you into that deep, dark ocean is almost hypnotic—I found myself holding my breath during the first tendril scene. Finished it in one sitting, completely absorbed.

I didn't expect a book to make me feel like I was actually sinking, but the way the tendril curls and beckons in those early pages pulled me straight under. The atmosphere is so thick I had to put it down a few times just to breathe.

I wasn't sure a story could hold me the way this one did, but the pull of that tendril on the very first page had me reading way past midnight. The slow, sinking dread as the ocean gets darker is exactly what I wanted.
